Police stopped a woman from jumping off a bridge into river Jhelum in the Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening, officials said.
An alert police team saw a woman attempt suicide by trying to jump into the river from bypass bridge Sopore, officials said. They rushed to spot and rescued her by preventing her from jumping, they added.
They added that the woman will be handed over to her family after proper counseling—(KNO)
