
The authorities on Saturday warned coaching institutions, operating in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, of strict action for taking classes during school hours, thereby flouting government directives.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that there were several complaints against private coaching centres of taking classes during school hours in the sub-division, despite clear directives from the government.
He said that following which, a meeting was called by the additional deputy commissioner, Sopore SA Raina, where principals of all government higher secondaries, ZEOs, and heads of all coaching centres were present.
“Directions were passed to all the coaching centres functioning within the sub-division Sopore, not to take classes of any of the student whether from government or private recognized school during the school hours,” he said.
Meanwhile, ADC Sopore, SA Raina told KNO that they will be carrying surprise checks of the coaching institutions, and violators will be taken to task as per the legal norms.
He said that they won’t allow any coaching institute to work in contravention to directions prescribed by the government—(KNO)
