Shopian: Two brothers electrocuted, one dies, another battles for life in hospital

In a trafic incident, one brother died and another is battling for life when the duo received electric shock in Shopian.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday morning, the siblings were repairing an electric wire in the Babapora area of Shopian when they received an electricity shock on an electric pole.

Both of them fell down from the pole and were immediately rescued by the locals who rushed them to the nearby hospital.

At the hospital, Mashooq Ahmed Hajam (24) was declared brought dead while another brother Irfan Ahmed (27) was shifted to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
