‘Security threat’: Authorities suspend prominent Shia leader’s passport

Authorities have suspended the passport of Jammu Kashmir Anjuman-E-Sharia Shian president Aga Syed Hassan Mosvi citing “security threat” as reason.

The Regional Passport Office Srinagar had intimated Aga Hassan that his passport has been suspended under section 10(3XC) of the Passports Act 1967.

Aga Hassan told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that he received the notice after over a month when it was issued that his passport has been suspended.

He said that he had applied for a fresh passport in view of scheduled to visit to some foreign country, however, today he got to know through the notice that his passport has been suspended. KNS
