Shia cleric Aga Hadi Kashmiri under house arrest before Pro-Palestine protest

Aga Syed Mohammed Hadi Kashmiri was put under house arrest on Friday at his residence in Budgam.

Sources confirmed to The Kashmiriyat that the renowned Shia cleric was placed under detention at his house ahead of the scheduled protest at Bemina in support of Palestine.

“We have been told that Agha Sahab cannot move out of his house as a preventive measure,” a close associate of Agha Syed Hadi Kashmiri said.

Agha Hadi is renowned for his speeches and is famous among both Sunnis and Shia Muslims of the valley.

Last week Shia Muslims of Kashmir took out massive processions in central Kashmir in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Thousands of Palestinians have been killed in Gaza by Israeli forces during air strikes.
