‘Relocate to Ireland or deserts’: Israeli Minister suggests nuclear option in Gaza

A member of the far-right Otzma Yehudit party in Israel has raised the possibility of using a nuclear weapon in the conflict with Palestine.

In an interview with Radio Kol Berama, Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu indicated that using a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip could be considered as one of the options.

It’s important to clarify that Eliyahu does not hold a position in the security cabinet responsible for making wartime decisions, nor does he have influence over the war cabinet overseeing operations against Hamas.

During the interview, Eliyahu expressed opposition to providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, making a controversial comparison to the Nazis and asserting that there are no uninvolved civilians in the region.

He also voiced support for reclaiming Gaza’s territory and re-establishing Israeli settlements there. When asked about the fate of the Palestinian population, he suggested that they could relocate to Ireland or deserts, emphasizing that the responsibility for finding a solution rests with the inhabitants of Gaza.

Additionally, Eliyahu made statements asserting that the northern part of the Gaza Strip has no right to exist and anyone displaying a Palestinian or Hamas flag should not be allowed to continue living on Earth.
