
The Jammu Kashmir Police has booked two person under the a public safety act in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
In a press statement, Police said that it has taken decisive action against Anti-National Elements (ANEs), booking two individuals under the stringent Public Safety Act.
The duo has been identified as Fayaz Ahmad Kumar, also known as Narshima, son of Ghulam Qadir, residing in Khanpora Baramulla, and Safeer Ahmad Bhat, alias Safeer Molvi, son of Ab Majeed Bhat from Janbazpora Baramulla.
The police’s move comes after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority, pointing to a history of multiple cases against the booked individuals, the statement said.
“Both are involved in disturbances of law and order, as well as subversion, their activities have posed a threat to public safety,” Police said.
Both Fayaz Ahmad Kumar and Safeer Ahmad Bhat have been detained and subsequently shifted to Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jail in Jammu.
