Shahbaz Sharif is the new Prime Minister of Pakistan

Shehbaz Sharif, the President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has emerged victorious in the national elections, securing the prestigious position of the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan.

His triumph was formally announced by the esteemed National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, who revealed that Shehbaz garnered a commanding total of 201 votes.

In contrast, Omer Ayub Khan, the candidate representing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), obtained 92 votes, falling short of securing the premiership.

With the declaration of the election results, a momentous atmosphere filled the assembly hall as Sadiq summoned Shehbaz Sharif to occupy the distinguished seat of the Leader of the House.
