Abbas Ahmed Khalil, the grandson of Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah has been killed in an Israeli strike, Arabic media outlets reported on Sunday.
The strike, which occurred in southern Lebanon on Saturday morning, targeted a vehicle carrying Khalil and two other Hezbollah members.
Alongside Khalil, the casualties included two other members of the organization.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Saturday that they had conducted the strike, targeting a vehicle in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF statement, the strike was directed at terrorists affiliated with the Iran-linked Imam Hossein Division, a faction operating within the Hezbollah framework.
The Kashmiriyat couldn’t confirm independently if Khalil was indeed Nasrallah’s grandson. Hadi, Nasrallah’s son, was killed during clashes with Israel in 1997.
Nasrallah expressed pride in his son’s martyrdom and vowed to persist in the fight against Israel.
