Eid prayer timings changed at Eidgah Anantnag

After a gap of several years, Eid ul Fitr prayers will be held at Eidgah of Anantnag.

Earlier the Jamia Masjid committee of Anantnag had said that Eid prayers will be held at the Eid Gah, Janglat Mandi at 9 A.M, however, the admin has issued an order stating that the prayer timings have been reversed to 8 A.M.

Earlier Jamia Masjid committee had advised people to bring their prayers mats along and carry water bottles during the prayers. “Separate arrangements will be made for women devotees and people who bring their kids along should take specific care of their children. We request all the people of Anantnag town participate in the historic gathering. It has been many years that the people of the district have gathered at one place,” Moulana Rameez said.

Addressing the media, he said that Eid ul Fitr is an occasion for massive congregations and people should prefer offering prayers in large congregations that in smaller mosques.
