Encounter breaks out in Doda; two army troopers injured

Two army troopers have been injured during the ongoing encounter between government forces and militants in Zadan area of Kastigarh in Doda district.

Quoting officials, local news agency, GNS reported that suspicious movement was observed by the army near LHS Zada.

“During searches, contact was established with militants which triggered a gunfight,” the official said.

During initial gunfight, two army troopers were injured and were immediately shifted to nearby hospital, he said.

Till this report was being filed, operation in the area was still underway.
