The Indian Army has prepared the List of the Most wanted Militants operating in the Kashmir valley.
22 Militants have been included in the list, 17 of them hail from South Kashmir where Militancy has seen a surge since July 08, 2016 when the popular Militant commander, Burhan Wani was killed.
The Indian Army launched an Operation all out against Militancy in jammu kashmir and due to the heightened Anti Militancy Operations more than 220 Militants were gunned down the last year.
The List included the top most commanders including Abu Dujana, Bashir Lashkar, Majid Zargar, Junaid Matoo, Yaseen itoo, Junaid matoo, Ayub Lelhari, Sabzar Bhat and many others.
Though the Indian State has declared an Iron Fist Policy against the Militancy, but local youth have been flanking the Militant ranks, which as per a recent Government Report is due to the heightened Anti Militancy Operations.
A recent Report published by ‘The Kashmiriyat’ revealed that more than 60 youth have joined Militancy after three encounters which happened on 01 April at three separate places in South Kashmir, 13 Militants were killed in the operations.
More than 95,000 people (unofficial records) have been killed since 1988 when an Armed insurgency broke out against India in Kashmir which is claimed in entirety by both India and Pakistan.

Zeenat-ul-Islam, resident of Sugan, Shopian; Category – A++.
Riyaz Ahmad Naikoo (chief operational commander, Kashmir), resident of Tokun, Pulwama; Category – A++.
Latif Ahmad Dar alias Haroon, resident of Dogirpur, Awantipur; Category – A.
Umar Fayaz Lone, resident of Tral, Awantipur; Category – A.
Manan Wani ( AMU research scholar), resident of Kupwara; Category – B.
