After four days of search efforts, the body of a 9-year-old boy, who drowned three days ago was recovered from the Jhelum River in the Gatamulla area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to officials, the minor boy, identified as Sahil Ahmad, son of Abdul Rashid Lone had been bathing in a nearby Nallah when he was swept away by a strong current on September 01.
A major search operation was launched immediately after the incident, with local authorities and residents working together to locate the child.
On the fourth day of the search by locals, Police and SDRF teams, the body of young boy was retrieved.
