Five new districts in Jammu Kashmir if we win: BJP

In a significant administrative move, Tarun Chugh, the BJP in-charge of Jammu Kashmir, announced on Monday that the party plans to create five new districts in the region.

This initiative will increase the total number of districts in Jammu Kashmir to 25, enhancing the efficiency of governance and public service delivery.

Chugh shared the news via a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), outlining the new districts as Nowshera, Sunderbani, and Kalakote, among others. Currently, the region comprises 20 districts, with an equal distribution of 10 in Jammu Kashmir.

Highlighting the intent behind this decision, Chugh emphasized that the creation of these new districts aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s broader administrative reforms aimed at improving governance across the country.

He stated that these changes will facilitate better access to government services, particularly benefiting residents in remote and hilly areas.

The establishment of the five new districts is expected to streamline administrative processes, ensuring that residents can avail themselves of essential services without hindrance.

Chugh reiterated that this initiative would pave the way for the overall development and prosperity of Jammu Kashmir, marking a new chapter in the region’s governance.
