A Delhi court has deferred the bail hearing of Baramulla MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, commonly known as Engineer Rashid, which was scheduled for today.
The hearing has now been pushed to November 19.
The Sessions Judge stated that the court is currently considering a jurisdictional issue to determine whether the matter should be heard by this court or the designated MP/MLA court of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
“Since we are considering the jurisdiction issue—whether the matter will be heard by this court or the designated MP/MLA court of National Investigation Agency—keep it post that,” the Judge remarked.
Engineer Rashid surrendered himself to Tihar Jail after his interim bail ended earlier today.
