Acute water Scarcity irk Palpora residents authorities unmoved

The residents of Palpora Dailgam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district alleged that the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for failing to provide adequate water supply to them.

As per Herpora Mohalla-A of palpora said that the authorities in the PHE department are pushing them to face hardships from past two months.

Accusing the PHE officials for ignoring their plights, the residents here have demanded immediate redressal of their grievances.

Inhabitants told The Kashmiriyat that they are facing immense hardships due to the acute shortage of water supply from the last 2 months which is making their life difficult.

“The authorities are ignoring us at all fronts. Despite repeated assurances and promises by PHE officials, the department has failed to provide adequate drinking water to the residents here,” he said.

The residents have appealed the Deputy commissioner Anantnag Basharat Qayoom for intervention to redress their demand.

Meanwhile, talking to The Kashmiriyat AEE PHE Ferooz Ahmad he assured that he will look into the matter and solve it on priority basis.
