Shoppers in Anantnag have been mandated by the local administration to keep their shops shut once a week.
According to an order by Assistant Labour Commissioner Anantnag, accessed by The Kashmiriyat, the shoppers in the south Kashmir district to close their Shop/Establishment on Sundays or Fridays.
“The owners of shop/establishment who have opted Sunday as weekly close day are hereby directed to keep their shop/establishment close on Sundays and similarly the owners who have opted Friday as s close day shall remain closed on Fridays, anybody violates this order shall be dealt as per law,” the official order read.
