Admin set to shun SRO-43 in Jammu Kashmir

The administration of Jammu Kashmir is set to shun the policy of providing government jobs to the next of kin in lieu of the death of their government employee family member under SRO-43.

The admin is instead mulling to provide one-time compensation to the beneficiaries of all the SRO-43 cases instead of government jobs.

In the region, the government in the erstwhile state of Jammu Kashmir had framed compassionate appointment rules in the year 1994 and notified the same vide SRO-43.
