On Friday, the Assistant Executive Engineer PMGSY Sub Division Kangan died in a road accident near the Kachnambal area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Police sources told that a car bearing registration Number JK01AN/ 5394 which was on way driven by Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) PMGSY met with an accident near the Kachnambal area after driver lost control over the vehicle and fell into the deep gorge, resulting in the on-spot death of the driver.
He has been identified as Altaf Ahmad Cheka, a resident of Hazari Bazar, Rainawari, Srinagar.
He, further, said that the body was being brought to SDH Kangan for legal medical formalities following which it will be handed over to his family for last rites. A case under relevant sections of laws has been registered while further investigation has been taken up.
