One Militant has been reportedly killed in the ongoing encounter in Babgund area of Handwara in North Kashmir.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, Forces laid a siege around the area following an input regarding Militant movement in the area.

As soon as the search operation was launched, Militants opened fire upon the troopers triggering an encounter.
The Forces earlier claimed to have killed two Militants, however as they were conducting search operations at the encounter site to retrieve the dead bodies, Militants opened fire on Forces, killing four, injuring at least five others.
On Friday evening, Reinforcements were rushed to the spot and a search operation was put in place again.
Officials said that in the ensuing gunfight, one Militant has been killed.
Two residential houses have also been damaged during the encounter.
