
Delhi-based student activist, Umar Khalid who is lodged at Delhi’s Tihar Jail was released after 832 days on a seven-day interim bail to attend his sister’s wedding.
The student activist reached his residence at 8.30 am and was not allowed to talk to the media, Maktoob reported.
Umar was granted a week`s interim bail in the larger conspiracy case of the 2020 northeast Delhi pogrom by Delhi Court on 12 December.
He has to surrender on December 30. He had sought an interim bail of two weeks for attending the marriage.
Khalid was arrested on 13 September 2020 in the Anti CAA protest case.
