After continuous protests of more than a month, the Barzulla family is likely to get the mortal remains of Mudasir Ahmed today on Tuesday.
Mudasir Ahmed had left his home in Old Barzulla Srinagar in December 2016 for some work. He stayed in touch with family members on phone, but in January his phone became switched off.
On June 29 this year, Mudasir had been killed in an encounter in Kupwara. The family went to Kralpora Kupwara police station where they were told that the slain was a foreigner and had been buried.
The news spread in the Barzulla area and clashes, Protests escalated in the Barzullah locality, scores of youth took to streets and staged protests, seeking the body of the slain.
The Kashmiriyat has been informed by sources that the family of Mudasir has been taken to Kupwara to get the mortal remains of Slain Mudasir Ahmed.
