
The authorities have once again decided to suspend the flight operations after Kashmir parts received fresh snowfall on Saturday.
Director Srinagar airport, Kuldeep Singh told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the visibility due to the fresh snowfall has dropped again, thus the flight operation has been suspended till 04 PM.
He said that a call in this regard will be taken at 04 PM.
Pertinently, the authorities at Srinagar international airport had said that the flight operations will resume shortly as the snow has been cleared from the runway.
Notably, the Meteorological department (MeT) has issued ‘Red alert’, predicting heavy to very heavy snowfall in J&K till January 08 evening.
The MeT has predicted improvement in the weather conditions from January 09 morning—(KNO)
