
Kashmiris on Friday (08 April) thronged all the major mosques throughout Kashmir after two consecutive years of lockdowns during the holy month of Ramadan.
Major mosques throughout the valley remained shut for Friday prayers due to the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic. The pandemic lockdowns also confined people to their houses for the last two years.
On Friday (08 April), Kashmiris were seen flocking to the mosques from up north to down South, while Duroods and Quran reverberated from the mosque pulpit after two years.
The streets of Kashmir are witnessing a heightened activity during Ramadan after two years.
