An agriculture officer from Jammu District died at the Government Degree College of Jammu here of Covid 19, taking the death toll upto 190 in Jammu Kashmir.
A Hospital official posted at GMC Jammu told The Kashmiriyat that 47-year-old Agricultural officer, who was a resident of Jammu’s Talab Tiloo area had been tested covid positive.
He said that the official had been admitted in the the man hospital on July 12 and was put on ventilator on July 13, “He died on Tuesday morning, as he was facing acute respiratory distress syndrome, along with cough and fever.”
In Jammu Kashmir, so far 10827 have been tested positive for Covid 19, while 4553 cases out of them are active, 6095 people have recovered from the infection.
The authorities have imposed a lockdown in parts of the Kashmir valley, restricting the civilian movement, business establishments and vehicles have been ordered to remain off.
