Ahead of Friday prayers, Prominent Kashmiri cleric put under house arrest yet again: Anjum Shariyan e Shia

Aga Syed Mohammed Hadi Kashmiri has been put under house arrest yet again on Friday at his residence in Budgam.

Anuman e Sharian Shia in a press statement said that the renowned Shia cleric was placed under detention at his house ahead of his scheduled Friday address protest at Bemina.

“We have been told that Agha Sahab cannot move out of his house as a preventive measure,” a close associate of Agha Syed Hadi Kashmiri said.

Renowned for his speeches among both Sunnis and Shia Muslims of the valley, the prominent cleric has been disallowed to address Friday sermons since October, when Israel attacked Palestine.

At least 20,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza as a result of Israeli strikes on Gaza, Palestine.
