Questioning the real intentions of those who are in urgency of conducting Assembly polls in Jammu Kashmir, AIP reiterated that without releasing Er Rashid any such processes will be futile, and insult to Indian democracy.
The Party Spokesperson Firdous Baba reminded those forces who had been trying everything to block Er Rashid’s space in the political scenario not to forget that AIP has stood No 1 in five Assembly segments, NC in seven, PC in two and congress in one Assembly segment in the past Parliamentary Elections & had finished second (close to No 1) in more than six Assembly segments.
Spokesperson, as per a press release said that, it was the performance of AIP in 2019 Parliamentary Elections that became one of the core reasons for power hungry people to act as a catalyst for the anti-Kashmiri lobby who always saw Er Rashid like a thorn in their way.
The Spokesperson added that not only in north Kashmir but people in both the provinces of Jammu Kashmir are always there to support Er Rashid’s honest upright and pro-people politics which is aimed at fighting for legitimate rights of people of Jammu Kashmir.
He said that the larger interest of people of Jammu Kashmir AIP would always be ready to co-operate with any such party or parties who will sincerely fight for the restoration of rights, hour and dignity of people of Jammu Kashmir.
Spokesperson revealed that it was a matter of great satisfaction to see that Er Rashid has high moral despite facing immense hardships in Tihar jail since 5 August 2019.
Spokesperson asked those forces grieving that by keeping Er Rashid in Jail they would block his way and voice, to come out of illusions, as it would hardly make a difference to AIP in upcoming Assembly Elections whether Er Rashid is in jail or is given a level battlefield like other stakeholders.
He thanked all those voices asking for release of Er Rashid and urged Government to withdraw the baseless charges against him and release him immediately with honour and dignity.
