The Jammu Kashmir Police Tuesday arrested a teacher of Aakash Tutorial Gandhi Nagar For allegedly making an attempt to outrage the modesty of a 15-year-young girl student, who he had invited to a hotel in Jammu, on the pretext of a birthday party.
According to the Police, when the young girl reached the hotel, she found no people in the hotel room.
Sensing trouble, the 15-year-old asked the teacher about the other guests but the accused faculty member, identified as Rambaran Tyagi, caught hold of her forcibly and started kissing and touching her private parts, the girl has alleged in her complaint and added that the accused teacher also tried to lock the room from inside but the girl managed to flee.
When the girl reached her home, she narrated the incident to her parents who lodged a police complaint.
Subsequently, The Jammu Kashmir Police filed an FIR 151/22 under sections A/354-B-354/511/376 against Tyagi.
Acting swiftly, police traced and nabbed the accused, who was trying to flee to Delhi.
Pertinently, this is not the first incident reported from the Aakash Tutorials. A number of cases have earlier also been reported with parents avoiding to lodge formal complaints, police said, adding, “We always assure the parents that their identity will be kept secret but still very few cases are reported.”
