Aligarh Muslim University Suspends Kashmiri Student for Calling Jaish ‘Great’

The Aligarh Muslim university in Uttar Pradesh has suspended a Kashmiri student Basim Hilal for his ‘objectionable tweet’ over the Pulwama attack.

Omar Saleem Peerzada, AMU PRO said: “We have come to know of the highly objectionable tweet. Taking immediate cognizance the student has been suspended by the university administration,” he said.

Basim Hilal in a tweet had referred to Jaish e Muhammad, responsible for carrying out the attack as ‘great’

An FIR has been registered against Basim Hilal for his tweet, “He has been booked under section 153A IPC and Section 67A of the IT Act.
