The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar visited south Kashmir on Friday and chaired a meeting at Anantnag in connection with the security preparation of the annual Amarnath yatra 2022.
DIG South Kashmir Range Abdul Jabbar, SSP Anantnag, Kulgam and Awantipora participated in the meeting, officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)
They said different types of threats especially threats of drones attack and sticky bombs to yatra convoy and security forces and appropriate security responses were discussed in detail.
More focus was given to generating specific intelligence and conducting anti-militant operations on all yatra routes.
