
A 36-year-old man who was injured last Sunday during a road accident in Udhampur succumbed to his injuries today.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, locals said that Rayees Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Takiya Behram Shah in Anantnag’s Harnag area was injured when a truck he was driving bearing the number JK18 A 9198 met with a road accident last Sunday in Udhampur district.
Rayees was shifted to the nearby hospital in Udhampur, where the doctors declared his condition to be critical and shifted him to Jammu.
“From there, he was brought to Srinagar hospital by his family. He succumbed to his injuries in Srinagar hospital today afternoon,” they said.
He is survived by a paralysed father, a fifteen-year-old daughter and his wife.
