Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police patry from Police Station Mattan headed by SHO Mattan laid down a naka at Bumzu Mattan and intercepted two persons namely Fayaz Ahmad Wani S/O Gh Nabi Wani resident of Khanwadi Mattan and Wajid Ahmad Paddar S/O Bashir Ahmed Paddar resident of Bumzu Mattan.
During their search 16 Codeine phaophate bottles and 75 strips (750tablets) of Spasmoproxivan tablets were recovered from their possession.
Both the accused were arrested and case registered.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood and Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
