South Kashmir’s Anantnag will get its own ‘Ghanta Ghar’ on lines of Lal chowk in Srinagar, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla has informed.
“Lal Chowk Anantnag soon to have renovated look with Clock Tower & Rotary on pattern of Lal Chowk Srinagar. Work starting in next couple of days. Good job MC Anantnag,” Singla tweeted.
The work on proposed clock tower will be completed in 3 months and it will be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakh.
The idea of proposed tower didn’t go down well with netizens who asked administration to provide a parking area or some other thing that will benefit people rather than ‘wasting’ money on the tower. (KNT)
