A woman from the Uranhall area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag passed away in Saudi Arabia.
An official told The Kashmiriyat a local said that on Sunday, Naseema Akhtar, a resident of Anantnag’s Uranhall, who was on a Hajj pilgrimage suddenly collapsed while she was at her hotel room in Mecca.
He added that Naseema was rushed to the hospital, however, she was declared brought dead upon arrival.
Over 10,000 Muslims from Jammu Kashmir are on the annual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Chairperson of, J-K Hajj Committee, Safina Beigh, expressed her condolences to the family.
