One Militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter that raged between Militants and Government Forces in the Shar e Saali area of Pampore belt in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 50 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation in early hours of Thursday.
Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
More reinforcements have been called to the spot as troopers have installed search lights over the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
2 to 3 Militants are believed to be holed up in a residential house, they said
Locals from Pampore informed The Kashmiriyat that a massive exchange of gun fire is on between Militants and Forces.
Meanwhile Mobile internet services have been snapped in the area.
