In fact the Army General of India has been constantly asking the local Kashmiri youth to give up arms and asking people to keep their wards away from militancy.
Though Militancy is growing swiftly as more local youth are picking up arms to strengthen the Militant ranks, Figures available to The Kashmiriyat suggest that at least 35 youth have picked up arms in the first three months of this year.
One more youth from South Kashmir has picked arms and posed with an AK 47 rifle to tell his family that he has joined Militant ranks.
The youth has been identified as Asif Ahmed Dar Son of Ghulam Mohammed Dar a resident of Bongam area in South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
Locals from Shopian told The Kashmiriyat that Asif had left home for a small wok few weeks back after which he disappeared, today his photo carrying a gun appeared on the Social media.

Despite the Indian Army having launched ‘Operation All Out’ and intensifying the Anti Militancy operations, the local Militancy is on rise.
Militancy this year has seen a huge rise after the three encounter that were held on a single day on April 01 in South Kashmir ending with the death of 13 local Militants.
The Himalayan region has seen large number of youth picking up arms since an armed insurgency began against the Indian rule in 1988.
