Social activist and Jammu Kashmir Mission statehood leader Sunil Dimple on Friday organized an anti-Pakistan rally in Jammu, condemning the killing of four Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel in an encounter in Kathua.
The encounter, which erupted late Thursday night in the Saida Sukhal area near the International Border, saw intense clashes between security forces and militants. In addition to the four slain personnel, seven others, including police and army men, sustained injuries before the militants were neutralized.
Leading a protest in the city, Dimple accused Pakistan of fueling unrest in the region. “Jammu will not tolerate this bloodshed. The government must take decisive action to end this cycle of violence,” he said while addressing demonstrators.
The protesters, waving national flags and raising slogans, demanded stringent measures to prevent further militant infiltrations.
