Apni Party units quit in Bandipora, Usman Majid announces departure

All units of the Apni Party in Bandipora district, north Kashmir, have announced their resignation from the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, including Vice President and former minister Usman Majid.

In a statement, Majid explained that the decision was made after careful consideration and reflects a unified stance among Bandipora’s Apni Party members.

He emphasized that this collective action is aimed at better addressing the political and social needs of the district. “This move underscores our commitment to realigning our efforts and strategies to better serve the interests of Bandipora,” Majid said.

“We are grateful for the support and trust our constituents have shown us during our time with the Apni Party and remain dedicated to Bandipora’s welfare and development.”

Majid indicated that the next steps will be determined after a period of reflection and consultation with the current cadre and supporters. This process aims to ensure that future actions align closely with the aspirations of Bandipora’s residents.

He assured that under his leadership, the unit would continue to advocate effectively for Bandipora’s development.

“We ask our supporters and the public to be patient and supportive during this transition. Further announcements will follow, outlining our new direction and initiatives,” said a senior member of the cadre.
