Army organizes medical camp at Leh

A medical camp was on Monday organized by the Fire and Fury Corps at Leh.

Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Radha Krishna Mathur and Lieutenant General PGK Menon, General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps also visited the camp.

According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the event was a joint venture with ‘Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Seva Samity’, a Jaipur based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) headed by Padma Bhushan D R Mehta, Chief patron who provided their valuable services in the distribution of mobility aids for the betterment of differently-abled persons.

Over 500 medical equipment like hearing aids, crutches, wheelchairs, and self-employment tools like sewing machines were distributed to the differently-abled persons along with medical checkups of people followed by the distribution of medicines.

People of Leh greatly benefitted from the camp and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Army and the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) for the benevolent action—(KNO)
