The Locals of Bijbhera on Thursday morning blocked traffic on the National Highway comnecting near Bijbehara after Army men allegedly trashed a locals in the area.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that Army men on Thursday morning thrashed locals in the area after a board of Nearby Sicop camp of Indian army went missing during the night.
Immediately after the incident locals in large number shouting prp Independence and Anti India slogans confronted the Army.
Civilians in large numbers gathered and held protest in the area, and blocked the traffic on the highway.
This blockade of traffic caused heavy jams on the Srinagar- Islamabad (Anantnag) highway.
A passenger travelling to Srinagar told The Kashmiriyat that hr has been stuck in the traffic jam for the past one hour.
A Police official said that a Police team is on the way to ascertain the details.
