A 36-year-old army man died of cardiac arrest in the Kupwara district of north Kashmir.
An official said that the trooper identified as Mohammed Yousuf Bhat of Kupwara who was posted with 160 TA at Hirri Kupwara suffered a heart attack while on duty.
The trooper was immediately lifted to 168 Military Hospital Drugmulla, however the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival, he said.
