The Chairman of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has targeted the BJP over the targeted killing of Kashmir Pandits in the Kashmir valley.
He said that BJP used to beat drums of normalcy and maintain that such killings would stop after the removal of Article 370. “Now that it has been removed, then why are killings happening now?” he asked.
Farooq Abdullah said that until justice is not done, the killings will not stop. “They (BJP) used to say that such killings are happening because of Article 370. But now it has been abolished, so why is the process of killings not stopping? Who is responsible for this?
Farooq Abdullah said that the BJP government claims that the situation in Kashmir is better, but where is this situation better? If the situation is normal, then why was the Kashmiri Pandit killed?, Dr. Farooq asked.
Kashmiri Pandit Pooran Krishna Bhatt was shot dead by militants in the Chowdrigund area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
