Panic gripped Sugan area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday as massive firing was heard in the area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that a group of at least 20 armed Militants appeared in Sugan on the Chauhram of slain Zeenat ul Islam and offered gun salute to the slain commander.
The Militants appeared in the Sugan village of Shopian on Wednesday afternoon and fired several rounds in the air as a mark of respect to Zeenat ul Islam.
Meanwhile hundreds of people visited the houses of slain militants on their Chauhram.
Zeenat ul Islam and his colleague Shakeel Ahmed Dar were killed in an encounter with Government Forces in Kulgam district on Saturday night.
Police officials however said that they had no information about any incident as such.
