The Administration in Jammu Kashmir has registered 37 FIR’s against mutton dealers for overcharging in Srinagar, officials said on Tuesday.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that the district admin taking strong action against butchers for charging excessive rates booked 37 butchers and vegetable sellers.
Last month the Administration fixed the rates of Mutton at 480/ KG, however throughout markets in Kashmir mutton is being sold at charges lot higher than the charges fixed by the admin.
“A Fine of nearly 70,000 has been charged from dozens of vegetable vendors,” the official said, adding that such raids would continue in the future as well to ensure that the consumer does not suffer.
The official appealed the general public to contact the concerned authorities to contact them in case they found any violation.
