Ayatollah Khomeini, the leader of Islamic revolution in Iran, has appeared in the list of the ‘Most evil persons” in a curriculum book.
Sources informed The Kashmiriyat that the book published by Connecter Books publisher was designated for the students of primary classes in several schools Delhi.
Titled, ‘Thats Right’, the book is believed to be teaching General Knowledge and Current Affairs to young students at the class 6th level.
“He was the religious leader of Iran from 1979 to 1989. But during his reign, he did many evil deeds. He used to kill people who didn’t believe in “Allah”, People had to face brutality even if they listened to music. He was the culprit behind the Iranian revolution and also the Iran Iraq war making him responsible for deaths of millions of people,” the note on Ayatollah Khomeini reads.
The book publisher has apologised after the incident evoked widespread criticism, however, this episode shows the growing Islamophobia in India as the former leader of Islamic revolution has been targetted merely for his Islamic beliefs.
Various Muslim outfits including All India Muslim Personal Law board has demanded strict action against the publisher.
“We request you to take action against Mr Anshul Manglik of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. We request the publisher to remove the controversial use of globally respected and religious figure Imam Khomeini’s name in his book,” said .
Meanwhile Kashmiri religious outfits have also condemned the portrayal of Ayatollah Khomeini in negative light seeking a public apology from the publisher.
Maulana Masroor Abbas Ansari, President of the Itehadul Muslimeen vehemently expressed outrage against the inclusion of blasphemous content regarding the esteemed figure and founder of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ruhollah Khomeini in the curriculum.
He stated that such misleading books are being included in the curriculum under a conspiracy to hurt the sentiments of Muslims.
“Imam Khomeini was a great advocate of Islam, unity, and humanity, who devoted every moment of his life solely for the preservation of humanity and accomplished an unprecedented feat in the 20th century based on his leadership qualities, a feat that history cannot replicate,” he stated.
He urged people to refrain from buying all books published by this devilish publisher and appealed to raise their voice to hold them accountable.
