Bear captured alive in Anantnag

In a successful operation, a wild bear has been captured by the wildlife department in the Nowpora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that forest department along with the help of locals, managed to capture the bear live in the fields of Nowpora area of Dooru.

The bear has now been transported to the nearby forest, and there were no reports of any loss of life during the operation.

The wildlife department has advised people to stay away from the forests and fields to avoid any encounters with wild animals. (KS)
