A 55-year-old man lost his life in a road accident in Harnag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday morning a bus of Radiant Public School Anantnag hit a man riding his bicycle at Harnag Anantnag.
The bicycle rider identified as Bashir Ahmed Dar son of Ghulam Mohammed Dar, a resident of Muniwar Anantnag was critically injured and immediately rushed to shifted to GMC Anantnag.
Upon his arrival, Bashir Ahmed was declared brought dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the concerned Police officer speaking to The Kashmiriyat said that the accused driver has been taken into detention.
Locals also said that some of the vehicles of the school have been condemned, a claim Police said it is verifying. “We have sought the documents of the vehicles from the school. Only after investigation, we will know if any vehicles are condemned,” said the Police official.
