Senior leader and Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) – Sh. Sofi Yousuf along with other leaders on Wednesday celebrated the 1st anniversary of Abrogation of Article 370 and 35-a by hoisting Tri colour at Khanabal, Mattan and Pahalgam of Anantnag District, Kashmir and also distributed sweets among party leaders and workers on this historic day.

When asked about the celebrations, Sofi Yousuf described August 5th, 2019 as a historic day and said that the political monopoly of regional parties have ended as he believes that the regional parties have looted people of Jammu and Kashmir from decades.
He says that Jammu and Kashmir is now completely integrated with India and the time has come when the dream of One Nation – One Constitution and One Flag has come true which was in the manifesto since 1951 and the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) have fulfilled their promise and delivered it well.

He further castigated the region parties for deceiving and depriving people from their rights and alleged them of Vote Bank Politics in the name of religion and always played dual politics and with the sentiments of people.
The other leaders who were accompanying Sofi were Mohd Sidiq Khan, Veer Saraf, Adv. Syed Wajahat, Lateef Ahmad Khan, Abdul Majeed Bhat, Abdul Waheed, Dr Amin and Chowdhry Roshan.
