PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of employing various tactics to prevent her from entering Parliament.
Speaking to reporters in south Kashmir’s Bijbehara, Mehbooba asserted that the BJP is exerting significant efforts to keep her away from the legislative body, fearing potential disruptions if she were to gain a parliamentary platform.
“BJP is utilising all its resources to hinder my parliamentary journey. They are well aware that my presence in Parliament could pose challenges for them,” Mehbooba alleged during her visit to her father’s grave in her hometown.
Expressing her deep-rooted connection to the region, she highlighted the significance of Bijbehara in shaping her political journey.
Emphasizing the importance of the upcoming elections, she expressed hope that the electorate would support the PDP.
Mehbooba asserted that BJP is employing all possible means to destabilise the PDP, “After August 5, 2019 the present dispensation employed every method to break PDP. The current governing body believes that Mehbooba Mufti’s potential presence in Parliament would disrupt their plans.”
