Senior member BJP and State Publicity Secretary J&K Arun Kumar Chibber Saturday announced his resignation from basic membership of Narendra Modi led party.
In a brief presser, Chibber, as per GNS, said that he is leaving the party out of his ‘self-conscience’, saying that the party is no more what it used to be when he joined in 1980.
“I have been associated with BJP since 1980”, Chibber said, adding, “slowly and steadily, the party has attained growth but we are getting dissociated with the mission we were moving with since then.”
Today BJP, he said is no more “what it used to be then”.
“I am being asked that when people are joining the party, why am I leaving, but it is for my self-conscience”, Chibber said.
“Those who are joining are most welcome but I am with a heavy heart leaving from the basic membership and disassociating myself from the party”, Chibber further said.
Pertinent to mention here, Arun Kumar Chibber is brother of former Chairman J&K Bank R. K. Chibber. (GNS)
